Food Bank of Delaware incorporated on March 26, 1981 as Food Conservers, Inc. and changed its name in 1991; operates as the largest hunger relief organization in Delaware.

In fiscal year 2021, distributed approximately 15.536 million pounds of food, served 66,591 households through Mobile Pantry program, distributed 140,159 meal kits to at-risk youth, and provided 23,183 supplemental food boxes.

During COVID-19 pandemic (March 16, 2020 - March 31, 2022), facilitated 67 mass distribution events serving 71,532 households, operated Healthy Pantry Centers at Newark and Milford locations serving 61,869 households, and distributed over 33 million pounds of food.

Operates two workforce development programs—the Culinary School and L.O.G.I.C. (Logistics, Operations, General Warehousing and Inventory Control)—that graduated 73 job-ready students in fiscal year 2021.

Maintains a 5-acre farm in Newark with production facilities and plans to build approximately 70,000-square-foot facility in Milford to expand capacity throughout the state.
