Designates January 23, 2021, as "Maternal Health Awareness Day" in Delaware to raise public and professional awareness about maternal health, safety, and mortality issues.

Addresses the rising rate of pregnancy-related deaths in the United States, which increased from 7.2 deaths per 100,000 live births in 1987 to 17.8 deaths per 100,000 live births in 2009 and 2011.

Highlights significant racial disparities in maternal mortality, with Black women experiencing an average of 41 deaths per 100,000 live births in 2012, approximately 3 to 4 times higher than for white women.

Endorses promising maternal health initiatives being implemented in Delaware, including the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) program, a 4-year national initiative aimed at preventing 100,000 severe maternal complications and 1,000 maternal deaths.

Encourages community members and healthcare professionals to participate in activities promoting maternal health and safety, and to develop new programs addressing maternal health and mortality issues.
