Recognizes the sacrifice of law enforcement officers killed and injured in the line of duty in Delaware and across the United States.

Notes that more than 22,000 law enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty since 1786, with 1,627 deaths in the past 10 years (averaging one death every 54 hours).

Documents that 135 law enforcement officers were killed in 2019 and 56,034 assaults against officers occurred that year, resulting in 17,188 injuries.

Highlights that assaults against law enforcement officers in Delaware increased 16% from 2015 to 2019, with 448 incidents in 2019 representing the highest five-year total, and notes 49 Delaware officers have been killed or died in the line of duty since 1852.

Denounces all forms of violence against law enforcement officers and expresses the General Assembly's gratitude for their service in protecting and upholding the law.
