Continues the Motorcycle Rider Education Advisory Committee for the 151st General Assembly, originally established to make funding recommendations for the Motorcycle Rider Education Program created in 1985

Committee membership includes 15 members: 1 House member, 1 Senator, 1 Controller General representative, 1 Department of Transportation employee, 1 Office of Highway Safety employee, and 9 public members

Appointing authorities include the Speaker of the House (1 legislator, 6 public members) and President Pro Tempore of the Senate (1 legislator, 2 state employees, 3 public members)

Committee must meet at least quarterly to monitor the Motorcycle Rider Education Program, receive input from state agencies and the public, and assess future needs and recommend improvements

The Motorcycle Rider Education Program provides mandatory training for new motorcycle operators under age 18 and voluntary refresher courses for experienced riders on highway awareness and safety skills
