General Assembly acknowledges and supports the work of the U.S. Center for SafeSport and commits to raising awareness of solutions that prevent sexual, emotional, and physical abuse in sports.

Encourages Delaware sports organizations, especially those serving youth, to regularly review the SafeSport Centralized Disciplinary Online Database.

SafeSport has resolved over 5,000 cases since its creation in 2017 and delivered more than 2 million online trainings across multiple abuse-prevention courses and resources.

A 2021 SafeSport survey found 93% of respondents who experienced sexual harassment or unwanted sexual contact did not submit a formal report, with more than half of unwanted sexual experiences occurring when victims were under 18 years old.
