Designates April 11-17, 2022 as "Black Maternal Health Awareness Week" in Delaware

Acknowledges that Black women in the U.S. experience life-threatening pregnancy complications twice as often and die from pregnancy-related complications four times as often as White women

Notes that Delaware's Black infant mortality rate is 12.5 per 1,000 live births, three times higher than the White infant mortality rate of 4.2 per 1,000 live births

Recognizes Delaware's commitment to reducing maternal mortality and morbidity through initiatives including the OB Hemorrhage Initiative and the Delaware Healthy Mother and Infant Consortium

Calls for community members and healthcare professionals to participate in activities during this week to raise awareness about Black maternal health, safety, and mortality
