Honors the Food Bank of Delaware on its 40th anniversary, which was founded on March 26, 1981, originally as the Food Conservers, Inc., and renamed in 1991.

Recognizes the organization as the largest hunger relief organization in Delaware, serving 674 partner agencies and employing 54 full-time and part-time staff across Newark and Milford facilities.

Documents significant pandemic response efforts from March 2020 to March 2021, including 33 mass distribution drives serving 42,847 households and 353,009 meals and snacks provided to homeless residents.

Highlights recent fiscal year accomplishments: distributed 15.522 million pounds of food, served 49,180 households through mobile pantries, distributed 143,000 backpacks to at-risk youth, and coordinated 17,166 volunteer visits representing 49,000 donated hours.

Commends the Food Bank for graduating over 700 culinary school students since 2002 and plans to establish H.E.L.P. (Honoring Experience, Launching Possibilities), a lived experience council to engage clients as advocates.
