Acknowledges that 6 to 10 percent of the 200,000 Americans newly diagnosed with breast cancer annually receive a metastatic diagnosis.

Notes that only 2 to 5 percent of breast cancer research funds are spent on metastasis studies despite 30 percent of breast cancer patients eventually being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.

Recognizes that metastatic breast cancer patients face emotional, physical, and financial challenges with an expected survival of 18-24 months with treatment.

Encourages Delawareans to increase awareness and information about metastatic breast cancer.
