DE HB10

Establishes escalating targets for electric school bus purchases by the Department of Education, beginning at 5% in FY 2025 and increasing by 5% annually to reach 30% by FY 2030.

Requires the Department of Education to submit annual implementation reports on January 31 from 2025 through 2029 detailing progress toward the electric bus purchase goals.

Mandates a comprehensive report by January 31, 2030 with recommendations for future electric vehicle purchase targets and other measures to reduce carbon and environmental impact of the school transportation fleet.

Requires reports to be delivered to the Clerk of the House of Representatives, Secretary of the Senate, Director of the Division of Research, and Public Archives.

Implementation is contingent upon appropriation of sufficient funding.
