Establishes up to 5 days of paid bereavement leave for Delaware state employees who experience a miscarriage, stillbirth, or other pregnancy loss.

Defines "miscarriage" as pregnancy loss prior to 20 weeks gestation and "stillbirth" as pregnancy loss at 20 weeks gestation or more.

Includes "other loss" category covering diagnoses that negatively impact pregnancy and pregnancy termination regardless of whether medically necessary.

Applies to all full-time and part-time state employees in Delaware.

Named the "Sloane Hajek Act of 2023" in recognition of bereavement leave advocacy.
