Establishes reimbursement requirements when a police officer trained by one municipality or governmental entity is hired by another within 4 years of completing mandatory training.

Reimbursement amounts are tiered: $40,000 during the first year, $30,000 during the second year, $20,000 during the third year, and $10,000 during the fourth year after training completion.

Reimbursement covers salary, uniforms, equipment, training expenses, employment benefits, testing, medical testing, and ammunition incurred during police academy attendance.

The 4-year reimbursement period begins on the date the employee graduates from the police academy and ends on the last day the employee works for the original employer.

Exempts police officers who applied to the 100th Delaware State Police Recruit Class on or before November 7, 2022, and were accepted from the new 4-year reimbursement timeline rules.
