Designates March 2023 as Social Work Month in Delaware to recognize and honor the contributions of social workers throughout the state, nation, and country.

Acknowledges social workers as the largest group of mental health care providers in the United States and their critical roles in addressing substance abuse disorders, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.

Recognizes social workers' involvement in protecting children, supporting families, assisting veterans with PTSD, and providing services to vulnerable and marginalized populations including people experiencing homelessness and those affected by gun violence.

Advocates for the establishment and expansion of social work education programs, noting that Delaware State University has offered the only social work program in Delaware since 1982 for bachelor's degrees and since 1986 for master's degrees.

Credits social workers with advancing civil rights and advocating for legislation on voting rights, workplace safety, healthcare access, and equal rights for women, minorities, disabled persons, and LGBTQ+ communities.
