Recognizes Delaware's agricultural infrastructure including 115 farm stands, 28 farmers markets, 14 u-pick operations, and 20 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs

Highlights benefits of local agriculture including economic stimulus, improved nutrition, reduced transportation environmental impact, and expansion of food access through EBT and nutrition assistance programs

Encourages activities during the designated week to promote ventures that produce, distribute, and market Delaware-grown produce

Continues an annual observation first established 10 years ago through partnership between the General Assembly and the Delaware Department of Agriculture
