Designates May 2023 as "Foster Care Month" in Delaware to recognize the contributions of foster families and youth in the foster care system.

Acknowledges approximately 370 foster homes in Delaware providing safe, stable placements for vulnerable children as of 2022.

Notes that currently 600 youth in Delaware either live away from their homes or are experiencing foster care.

Encourages all Delawareans to commend foster families and youth in care throughout the state during Foster Care Month and beyond.

Recognizes foster parents as integral members of the professional team protecting and nurturing children and strengthening families.
