Officially recognizes March 2024 as Social Work Month in Delaware to honor social workers' contributions to the state and nation.

Acknowledges social workers' role as the largest group of mental health care providers in the United States and their work addressing substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Recognizes social workers' historical contributions to major legislation including the minimum wage, 40-hour work week, social security, the Civil Rights Act, and the Affordable Care Act.

Advocates for the establishment and expansion of Social Work programs, noting Delaware State University offers the only social work program in Delaware with both bachelor's (since 1982) and master's (since 1986) degrees.

Honors social workers' work in child welfare, family services, school counseling, elder care, mental health crisis intervention, and support for vulnerable populations including LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and veterans with PTSD.
