Designates February 2024 as "Career and Technical Education Month" in Delaware to recognize the importance of CTE programs and encourage community participation and support.

Over 44,413 students were enrolled in CTE programs in Delaware as of 2022, with programs offered in 41 out of 45 public high schools across the state's technical, comprehensive, charter, and state institutions.

Delaware's secondary CTE programs achieved a 92% four-year graduation rate in 2022-2023, while postsecondary programs reported an 86% post-program placement rate in fields including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity, and energy.

CTE programs provide students with academic, technical, and employability skills through integrated secondary and postsecondary education pathways leading to industry-recognized credentials.

Resolution urges citizens to become familiar with CTE services and benefits available in their communities to address the nation's skills gap in critical fields.
