Highlights First State Community Action Agency, Delaware's only federally recognized Community Action Agency incorporated in 1966, which serves over 11,877 people per year.

Credits First State Community Action Agency with providing affordable housing to 251 individuals, preventing 96 foreclosures and 1,199 evictions, assisting 1,268 households with utility shutoffs, and providing heating and cooling assistance to 588 homes as of September 2023.

Notes the agency provided 343 jobs through employment and training programs and operates senior citizen services, youth enrichment programs, and workforce development initiatives.
