Commends the Food Bank of Delaware, the largest hunger relief organization in the state, for its work addressing food insecurity affecting 99,530 Delawareans.

In fiscal year 2023, the Food Bank and its network distributed 17.2 million pounds of food, served 80,291 households through mobile pantries, distributed 278,963 meal kits to at-risk youth, and delivered 67,921 boxes through home delivery partnerships with Amazon and DoorDash.

Recognizes three workforce development programs—the Culinary School, the Kitchen School (in partnership with the Delaware Restaurant Association), and L.O.G.I.C.—that graduated 91 job-ready students in fiscal year 2023, with specialized training for adults with disabilities.

Highlights the Food Bank's 5-acre farm in Newark that produced 16,408 pounds of vegetables in fiscal year 2023 and a new 3.5-acre garden facility in Milford that opened in January 2024 to serve Kent and Sussex counties.

Notes the organization operates with 111 full-time and part-time employees and coordinates with over 750 program partners statewide including food pantries, food closets, and distribution sites.
