Recognizes June 15, 2024, as "Delaware Elder Abuse Awareness Day" in the State of Delaware.

Notes that approximately 1 in 10 Americans aged 60 and older experience some form of elder abuse, including caregiver neglect, financial fraud, physical abuse, psychological abuse, and sexual abuse.

Acknowledges that nearly half of those with dementia experience some form of abuse or neglect, and that most cases of elder abuse go unreported.

Recognizes efforts by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Delaware Nursing Home Residents Quality Assurance Commission, Department of Justice, and Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. in addressing elder abuse in the state.

Urges all Delawareans to learn more about protecting and nurturing elderly citizens, aligning with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day recognized annually on June 15th.
