Designates April 11-17, 2023 as "Black Maternal Health Awareness Week" in Delaware.

Documents that Black women in the U.S. experience pregnancy-related life-threatening complications twice as often as White women and die from pregnancy complications four times as often as White women.

Notes that Delaware's Black infant mortality rate is 11.6 deaths per 1,000 live births, three times higher than the White rate of 4.7 deaths per 1,000 live births.

Acknowledges Delaware's commitment through the Delaware Healthy Mother and Infant Consortium and Delaware Perinatal Quality Collaborative to reduce maternal and infant mortality and disparities.

Invites community members and healthcare professionals to participate in activities promoting Black maternal health awareness and addressing racial health disparities during the designated week.
