Encourages state agencies, entities, and businesses operating in Delaware to assess food sourcing data and increase the percentage of food items purchased from Delaware agriculture and aquaculture operations

Requires the Delaware Department of Agriculture, through the Delaware Council on Farm and Food Policy, to submit a report to the Governor and General Assembly by June 30, 2024, detailing efforts to support and expand locally sourced food procurement

Report must include summaries of Delaware Grown marketing initiatives, existing procurement efforts across state agencies and schools, current local purchasing amounts, and recommended target percentages for local food procurement

Cites benefits of local food purchasing including reduced greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, fresher products, lower shipping costs, support for family farms, and enhanced food security during crises

Mandates a status update on local food procurement efforts be submitted to the Governor and General Assembly by December 31, 2024
