Recognizes May 13, 2023, as "National Train Day" in Delaware, coinciding with the national observance held on the Saturday closest to May 10th, commemorating the 1869 completion of the first transcontinental railroad.

National Train Day was conceptualized by Amtrak to promote awareness of American railroad history and encourage trains as an eco-friendly transportation option.

Delaware has a significant railroad heritage including the Delaware Railroad, with historic stations in Felton and Wyoming listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Felton station operating as a museum.

Acknowledges the ongoing role of trains and railroads in Delaware through current service by Amtrak and CSX for transporting goods, freight, and passengers.

Encourages all Delawareans to recognize the historical and contemporary contributions that trains and railroad personnel have made to everyday life.
