Education employees convicted of sexual abuse of a child, sexual solicitation of a child, or promoting sexual solicitation of a child are denied retirement and disability pension benefits

Applies to employees of the State Department of Education, public school districts, University of Delaware, Delaware State University, and Delaware Technical and Community College

Survivors and beneficiaries of convicted employees are also barred from receiving these pension benefits

Benefits are denied to individuals under indictment for these offenses who willfully remain outside the United States for more than 1 month to avoid prosecution
