Reduces the suicide exclusion period for life insurance policies from 2 years to 1 year from the date of policy issuance, after which insurers cannot deny death benefits for suicide deaths.

Requires insurers to refund all premiums paid if a death benefit is denied due to suicide occurring within the 1-year exclusion period.

Applies only to life insurance policies issued on or after the effective date of the Act.

Takes effect 6 months after enactment into law.
