Requires all secondary and middle school interscholastic athletic coaches to obtain and maintain certification in CPR, first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use, following national evidence-based emergency cardiovascular care guidelines

Mandates each school with an athletic program develop a venue-specific Emergency Action Plan for responding to cardiac arrest or life-threatening emergencies during athletic practices or events, to be posted, distributed, and rehearsed annually

Requires an AED be clearly marked, unlocked, and easily accessible at each school athletic venue during any school-sponsored athletic event or team practice

Requires AEDs be tested and maintained according to manufacturer's operational guidelines

Requires schools to notify the Office of Emergency Medical Services about acquired AEDs, including the type and location
