Honors all mothers throughout Delaware who have lost a child as a result of gun violence, with special recognition on Mother's Day, May 11, 2025

Acknowledges that 127 people die by guns in Delaware annually, averaging 1 person killed every 3 days

Notes that firearms were the second leading cause of death among children and teenagers ages 1-17 in Delaware from 2018-2022

Recognizes the emotional, medical, financial, and legal burdens faced by grieving mothers who are themselves victims of gun violence's impact

Encourages the General Assembly to expand efforts to inform Delaware residents about the grief associated with losing a child to gun violence
