Honors the Haitian Revolution that began in 1791 under Commander Toussaint Louverture, the only successful slave rebellion that led to national independence

Notes that Haiti is the third most common birthplace for foreign-born Delaware residents, representing 0.5% of the state's population

Encourages all Delaware community members to celebrate and reflect on the historical significance of Haitian Independence Day
