Creates a new "school apprentice electrician" license category for individuals enrolled in Board-approved vocational high school programs, allowing them to work under supervision while under age 18

Limits apprentice electrician licenses to 5 years maximum, with possible 1-year extensions for good cause if requested at least 60 days before expiration

Requires apprentice electricians to be enrolled in (rather than enrolled in or have completed) a Board-approved apprentice program, and must be at least 18 years old

Removes "elevators" from the scope of work permitted under limited electrician special and master electrician special licenses

School apprentice electrician licenses remain valid while enrolled in the vocational program or until age 18, whichever is later, and do not require renewal

Effective date is July 1, 2026
