Allows the Director or Deputy Director of the Division of Family Services to designate someone to consent to voluntary psychiatric hospital admissions for youth in DSCYF (Division of Family Services) custody

Applies to minors under 18 years old who are in state custody pursuant to Chapter 25 of Title 13 and require admission to a designated psychiatric treatment facility or hospital

Permits the designee to also sign requests for discharge on behalf of a voluntarily admitted youth in DFS custody

Aligns psychiatric admission consent procedures with the existing process used for surgical consents for youth in DFS custody

Requires that designees may only act with direct approval from the Director or Deputy Director under DFS policy
