Requires the Department of Health and Social Services, in consultation with the Department of Education, to post existing informational materials on type 1 diabetes on the DHSS website

Mandates that each local education agency make the type 1 diabetes informational materials available to parents or guardians of enrolled students

Informational materials must include a description of type 1 diabetes, risk factors, warning signs, screening process details, and implications of test results

Materials must recommend parents consult with a primary care provider if a student displays warning signs, and advise on developing treatment plans following diagnosis, potentially including specialist consultation

Takes effect August 1, 2026 if enacted before or on August 1, 2025; otherwise takes effect on the August 1 following enactment
