Recognizes March 18, 2026, as "National Youth Heart Screening Day" in Delaware to promote awareness and prevention of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in children and young adults

Highlights that approximately 1 in 300 youth has an undiagnosed heart condition, and about 7,037 children per year (20 per day) die from sudden cardiac arrest in the United States

Notes that 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) screenings can identify up to 90% of heart abnormalities associated with SCA, compared to significantly lower detection rates from standard physical examinations alone

Recognizes Delaware's Heart in the Game program, which has screened more than 6,000 Delaware students and provided CPR and AED training, founded in response to Grace Firestone's sudden cardiac arrest experience

Supports the goals of increasing public awareness, encouraging participation in youth heart screenings, and promoting lifesaving education and resources
