Epilepsy affects nearly 50 million people worldwide, approximately 3 million American adults, 500,000 American children, and over 10,000 Delawareans

Approximately 1,300 Delawareans between ages 0-17 have epilepsy, and seizures are the third most common school emergency

Calls upon State agencies and Delaware residents to undertake efforts to increase epilepsy awareness and reduce stigma associated with the condition
