Epilepsy affects nearly 50 million people worldwide, almost 3 million American adults, almost 500,000 American children, and over 10,000 Delawareans

Approximately 1,300 Delawareans between ages 0-17 have epilepsy, and seizures are the third most common school emergency

Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder, with 1 in 26 people developing it in their lifetime

Calls upon State agencies and Delaware residents to undertake efforts to increase epilepsy awareness and reduce stigma associated with the condition
