Designates April 17, 2025, as "Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Day at the Capitol" in Delaware

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded November 12, 1922, at Butler University by seven educators and is the only Greek-letter organization founded by university graduates rather than undergraduates

The sorority has over 100,000 members worldwide and more than 500 chapters across multiple countries including the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, and South Korea

Delaware has three alumnae chapters (Alpha Nu Sigma in Wilmington chartered 1943, Delta Tau Sigma in Dover chartered 1976, Mu Psi Sigma in Middletown chartered 2019) and two undergraduate chapters at Delaware State University and University of Delaware

The chapters conduct community service programs including Operation Big Book Bag, Women's Wellness Initiative, MLK Day of Service, food drives, and holiday family assistance programs
