Approximately 60% of the estimated 800,000 U.S. adults living with TD remain undiagnosed

Higher-risk populations include individuals over 55, Black individuals, women, those with mood or substance abuse disorders, intellectual disabilities, or central nervous system injuries

Encourages awareness of early detection, routine TD screening as recommended by the American Psychiatric Association, and available FDA-approved treatments
