Proclaims June 12, 2025, as "Women Veterans Recognition Day" in Delaware, coinciding with the 77th anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act signed by President Truman on June 12, 1948

Recognizes over 7,000 women veterans currently residing in Delaware, out of more than 2 million women veterans nationwide

Honors the historic contributions of Delaware women in military service, including four Delaware women who served in the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion during WWII and Hazel Johnson-Brown, who became the first African American woman to achieve the rank of General in the U.S. Army in 1979

Commemorates Senior Airwoman Elizabeth Loncki, the first woman to die in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom, who completed 194 missions and disarmed 129 explosive devices

Acknowledges unique challenges facing women veterans, including higher rates of homelessness, unequal access to healthcare, and lack of recognition for their service
