Amends Florida Statute 948.06 to allow courts to order pretrial detention or release with or without bail for probationers or offenders on community control arrested for new offenses where probable cause exists.

Requires dismissal of pretrial detention or release orders related to probation or community control violations if no violation affidavit is filed within 10 days after arrest for the new offense.

Exempts persons subject to danger-to-the-community hearings under subsection (4) or paragraph (8)(e) from the new pretrial detention and release provisions.

Becomes effective October 1, 2010.

Cited as the "Officer Andrew Widman Act."
