Requires health insurance policies, group accident and health policies, and health maintenance contracts to cover inpatient hospital stays for lymph node dissections and mastectomies for the duration determined medically necessary by the treating physician, rather than limiting to a fixed period.

Mandates coverage for outpatient postsurgical followup care after lymph node dissections or mastectomies by qualified licensed health care professionals, with care location chosen by the treating physician in consultation with the patient.

Clarifies that patients are not required to undergo lymph node dissections or mastectomies in a hospital or remain hospitalized for a fixed period following these procedures.

Applies to health insurance policies, group/blanket/franchise accident and health policies, and health maintenance organization contracts issued, amended, delivered, or renewed in Florida that provide breast cancer treatment coverage.

Effective July 1, 2010, and may be cited as the "Mary B. Hooks Act."
