Amends the definition of "retired justice" and "retired judge" for purposes of assignment to temporary duty under Florida Statutes section 25.073

Requires that retired justices or judges not be engaged in the practice of law to qualify for temporary duty assignments

Establishes two alternative pathways to qualify as a retired justice or judge: (a) failed to win reelection or retention after more than 12 years of service, or (b) served at least one complete term and chose not to stand for retention or reelection at the conclusion of the latest term
