Amends section 784.047, Florida Statutes to expand violations of protective injunctions against repeat violence, sexual violence, or dating violence.

Adds four new specific violation circumstances: coming within 100 feet of the petitioner's motor vehicle (occupied or not), defacing or destroying the petitioner's personal property or motor vehicle, and refusing to surrender firearms or ammunition when ordered by court.

Modifies the existing provision regarding proximity to the petitioner's residence, school, or workplace to include "being within 500 feet of" these locations (in addition to the existing "going to" language).

Violations constitute a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable under section 775.082 or 775.083 of Florida Statutes.

Effective date: July 1, 2010.
