Expands Florida Statute 836.10 to include electronic communications in addition to letters and inscribed communications when threatening to kill or injure someone.

Maintains the offense as a second-degree felony with punishments as provided in sections 775.082, 775.083, or 775.084.

Applies the statute to threats against the recipient or any member of the recipient's family, whether the communication is signed or anonymous.

Effective date: October 1, 2010.
