Adds sexual orientation and gender identity or expression as prohibited grounds for discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations, and other areas covered by Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992

Replaces the term "handicap" with "disability" throughout Florida law and provides comprehensive definition of disability aligned with federal standards, including consideration of mitigating measures

Defines "sexual orientation" as actual or perceived heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality, and "gender identity or expression" as gender-related identity, appearance, expression, or behavior regardless of assigned sex at birth

Extends anti-discrimination protections to public lodging and food service establishments, labor organizations, employment agencies, and real estate transactions

Takes effect July 1, 2010
