Prohibits state agencies from restricting public employees from sending, requesting, receiving, or exchanging immigration status information with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security or other governmental entities.

Prohibits county governments from enacting ordinances or policies that limit or prevent law enforcement officers, local officials, or employees from communicating or cooperating with federal officials regarding immigration status.

Prohibits municipal governments from enacting ordinances or policies that limit or prevent law enforcement officers, local officials, or employees from communicating or cooperating with federal officials regarding immigration status.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
