Revises firesafety inspector certification requirements by abolishing the "special state firesafety inspector" classification effective July 1, 2012, and requiring those individuals to meet standard firesafety inspector training and certification standards under s. 633.081.

Requires the State Fire Marshal to consult with the Department of Education when adopting firesafety standards for educational and ancillary facilities, and allows the State Fire Marshal to assume firesafety inspection duties in counties lacking a certified firesafety inspector.

Establishes procedures for firesafety inspections of charter schools not located on school board property, requiring annual inspections by certified inspectors and reporting deficiencies to the State Fire Marshal if not corrected within specified timeframes.

Requires school boards to submit facility site plans exceeding 2,500 square feet to local fire control districts for review of fire department access, fire-protection systems, and hydrant spacing, with disputes referred to the State Fire Marshal for final resolution.

Mandates that school boards employ certified firesafety inspectors for construction, renovation, and remodeling projects and requires a reciprocity agreement between the State Fire Marshal and the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board regarding continuing education hours.
