Requires sponsoring agencies to notify local governments at the time of application when requesting to locate a community residential home with six or fewer residents within the jurisdiction.

Mandates that notification include the proposed home's address and the most recently published data from licensing entities identifying all existing community residential homes within 1,000 feet of the proposed site.

Maintains existing requirement that homes with six or fewer residents are deemed single-family units and noncommercial residential use, allowable in single-family or multifamily zoning without local government approval.

Requires sponsoring agencies to notify the local government again when the home is licensed and occupied.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
