Adds exceptions to s. 633.081 allowing certain fire hydrant inspections to be performed outside the standard firesafety inspector certification requirements specified in s. 633.082(2).

Permits county, municipal, and special district utilities to conduct fire hydrant inspections using designated employees who do not need to be certified under state firesafety requirements.

Requires utilities using designated employees for fire hydrant inspections to ensure those employees are qualified to perform the inspections.

Allows public fire hydrants owned by governmental entities to be inspected using either State Fire Marshal-adopted standards or equivalent standards from the American Water Works Association's Manual M17.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
