• Amends Florida's Criminal Punishment Code offense severity ranking chart by reclassifying offenses related to schemes to defraud.

• Removes three scheme-to-defraud offenses (§ 817.034(4)(a)) from the sentencing guidelines: one 3rd-degree felony for fraud under $20,000 and two 2nd-degree felonies for fraud valued at $20,000-$50,000 and over $50,000.

• Relocates the scheme-to-defraud offense for property valued at less than $20,000 from Level 3 to Level 4 of the offense severity ranking chart as a 3rd-degree felony.

• Relocates the scheme-to-defraud offense for property valued at $20,000-$50,000 from Level 5 to Level 6 of the offense severity ranking chart as a 2nd-degree felony.

• Relocates the scheme-to-defraud offense for property valued over $50,000 from Level 6 to Level 7 of the offense severity ranking chart as a 1st-degree felony.

• Takes effect July 1, 2010.
