• Establishes four types of alimony (bridge-the-gap, rehabilitative, durational, and permanent) that can be awarded individually or in combination, with courts required to make specific findings on need and ability to pay before awarding alimony.

• Creates rebuttable presumptions for marriage length classifications: short-term (less than 7 years), moderate-term (7-17 years), and long-term (17+ years), each with different alimony eligibility standards.

• Makes bridge-the-gap alimony non-modifiable in amount or duration (maximum 2 years) and requires rehabilitative alimony awards to include a specific rehabilitation plan.

• Modifies child support guidelines by removing lower income brackets, establishing median income imputation for missing earnings data with burden of proof on party seeking imputation, and restricting imputation based on outdated records or unprecedented earnings levels.

• Revises child support deviation factors and changes the "substantial time-sharing" threshold from 40 percent to 20 percent of overnights, effective January 1, 2011.
