Defines "barbering intern" as a student enrolled in barbering training who participates in an optional work experience internship under direct supervision of a licensed barber in a licensed barbershop.

Creates new section 476.145 establishing requirements for barbering internships, including school selection and placement of interns, internship sponsor registration with the board, and a maximum internship duration of 12 months.

Requires internship sponsors to have an active barber license, actively supervise the intern, ensure compliance with laws and rules, and ensure the public is informed the intern is not a licensed barber.

Requires barbershops to post notice in a conspicuous location indicating a student intern is providing services and limits internship sponsor registration fees to $30.

Makes it unlawful to practice barbering as an unauthorized intern or to hire an unauthorized intern; authorizes the board to establish education prerequisites and terminate internships for violations; effective July 1, 2010.
