Requires middle school students to complete one career and education planning course in 7th or 8th grade as a condition for promotion.

Mandates that career exploration components be aligned to the National Career Clusters supported by Florida's Career Clusters Initiative.

Requires use of CHOICES or comparable cost-effective program for career exploration and the Florida Academic Counseling and Tracking for Students (FACTS.org) system for educational planning.

Requires students to complete a personalized electronic academic and career plan signed by the student, instructor/counselor, and parent.

Removes obsolete provision requiring the Department of Education to develop course frameworks and professional development materials by January 1, 2007.
